The building on 1 Shevchenko Str. is split into two parts, a hotel and residential premises. The project involves the restoration of the door in the residential part of the architectural monument.

“The residents of the building are quite active and take good care of the building: having repaired the roof and basement at their own expense, they are restoring authentic windows. Now it is the door’s turn. In addition, this door is a part of a landmark kamianytsia that saw important historical events. We want to show — using the case of at least one architectural element — that historical value can be restored,” says the author of the project, Mariya Kozakevych. 

The funds from Urban Space 100 are to be used to manufacture the door unit itself.
