On December 27, Urban Space 100 turned 9.

On this birthday, our only dream is the victory of Ukraine. Therefore, together with the co-founders, partners and Save Ukraine Now, we held a fund-raising lottery for the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edelweiss. The funds were raised for the signal booster antenna systems, which the guys from the brigade developed and assembled on their own.

Throughout the week of December 20–27, we called on all friends of Urban Space 100 to support the fund-raising campaign with any amount multiple of UAH 100. Every UAH 100 is a “ticket” to participate in the lottery. The more “tickets”, the more chances there were to get a gift.  

Among the participants of the online fund-raising lottery, our partners, the Save Ukraine Now Coordination Centre raffled off 4 pennants signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi. Winners were chosen through a randomiser on December 28. The drawing protocol is available at the link (the identifier is the last digits of the mobile phone and the code of the payment card).

And on his birthday, December 27, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., participants could take part in an instant fund-raising lottery.

We have prepared lots of gifts together with our friends and partners: Coordination Centre Save Ukraine Now, Newton’s Apple Chips, Lumiere Cinema Theatre, Delikacia Bakery, PLAYERSGETREADY Developer of Psychological Games, Coffee Lab Roasters, Three Bananas Creative Workshop, maime.brand, The Frankivsk That Must Be Cherished official page, PromBar, Poshtivonka, Fabbrica, Coffee Factory, uf.bee Beeswax Wraps. And, of course, several lots from Urban Space 100: Favourite breakfasts, burgers and desserts 

Thanks to the fund-raising lottery, we managed to raise UAH 95,620! 

We thank all partners for the valuable gifts provided, and those who donated — for supporting our charity initiative. 

The participant who made the largest donation — UAH 30,000 — was given the Flag of Ukraine signed by General Zaluzhnyi.

 

  

Just like last year, we did not hold any loud celebrations. However, we wanted to share this festive day with those who love and visit our community restaurant, so we prepared several special free-entry events.

We started with a public interview with Taras Prokhasko. The event was moderated by the Teple Misto communicator Mariia Havrylova. They talked about how the city and we in it are changing.

 

This was followed by a musical performance by our secret guest — the Edelweiss Military Band. We thank the team for creating an incredible atmosphere. Unity is our power!

 

And at the end, we shared a festive cake with our friends and thanked our defenders. 

 

Traditionally, on this day, the co-founders of Urban Space 100 tried on the role of waiters, bartenders and cooks and welcomed our guests.

 

So what was 2023 like in general for the Urban Space 100?

Summing up:

▪️ This year, we transferred UAH 674,000 to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine (the Save Ukraine Now Coordination Centre and the Hromadska Initsiatyva Halychyny NGO). Our support was honoured by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi and the 102nd Territorial Defence Brigade of Ivano-Frankivsk.

▪️ As part of the grant program, 16 projects were supported for the total of UAH 1 million 43 thousand. Since autumn, Urban Space 100 grant seasons have become thematic — we support projects that deal with the consequences of war.

▪️  97 open events were held at our event platform. 

We are going to keep working and developing Ivano-Frankivsk, supporting defenders of Ukraine and helping make our Victory closer.
