70 adults and 22 children currently live in one of the Ivano-Frankivsk shelters for people who had to leave their homes due to the war. Most of these children have lost their homes and have no way to go back. They left their toys, books, friends, usual places for games. Therefore, they needed a children’s room, as well as a sports and play space.

Public transport is also an issue in this part of the city, so there was a need for a bicycle parking space, as there are bicycles with no safe place for storage.

The shelter residents themselves arranged cleaning in the yard, created a picturesque flower bed and made some furniture from pallets, started sorting and separate removal of sorted waste, hold workshops and film screenings for the children living in the shelter.

A summer terrace and a renovated play room were built by METALAB NGO. Rokada charitable organisation has equipped the premises with containers for waste sorting, provided furniture and supplied games for the children's room.

Grant funds provided by Urban Space 100 were used to equip a children’s room, a sports and play space, and a bicycle parking lot. Additionally, a garden swing was purchased.
