Creating the accessibility of the veterans rehabilitation centre at 6 Kurbasa Street for people with disabilities

Realized 31.10.2023 - 31.01.2024

56 500 UAH

The repair works at the future rehabilitation center located at 6 Kurbas Street have been completed. These premises have not been used for many years and required significant repairs (roofing repair, waterproofing, façade works, interior designs, etc.). The facility will provide comprehensive support to military personnel, veterans and their family members, as well as families of those who have died or went missing. This will include legal, medical and psychological assistance, employment and retraining support, creation of space for self-help groups, implementation of socialisation programs for combatants, etc.

The project was implemented by the Spriamovana Diia NGO with the support of international humanitarian organisations and local government institutions. The facility required the installation of an elevator (elevating platform) for people with reduced mobility at the entrance. The author of the project is Stanislav Onyshchuk, the head of the First Voluntary Surgical Hospital, which was established in Ivano-Frankivsk over the first days of the full-scale war to provide free treatment to defenders of Ukraine and internally displaced persons.

The Urban grant was used for the purchase, transportation and installation of the elevator (elevating platform).
